Digitization of the GULL process, in the areas of support and administration, can be one avenue for scaling of the impact and reach of the Global University for Lifelong Learning. For example, a mobile-enhanced learner experience can be optimized for global access in low-bandwidth contexts, provide a dashboard showing progress, pathway, and tasks, accountability evidence can be uploaded from phone cameras, and include off-line friendly reflection notes and mentor feedback, all accessible across any device with minimal data usage, recognizing that much of the work of GULL is carried out in technology and access-challenging environments. Learner and program portfolios can auto-build into complete task and progress evidence records, assist in verifying integrity before GULL approval, and provide GULL with scalable ability to assess and conduct final validation to maintain standards. GULL has identified digitization elements and has identified a target budget for this initiative.
